Farmhouse Dutch Oven Crusty Bread Loaf Recipe


Delicious, no-knead bread loaf.

You will need a Dutch oven or ceramic pot; it must have a lid


3 cups of flour

1 teaspoon of salt

1/4 teaspoon instant yeast

1-2 cups of water

Mix together salt, flour, yeast, and water. Set in warm place and cover bowl for 12-18 hours.

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Place your pot and lid in the oven.
Turn your dough out on a floured surface, it will be flat, tuck all four sides in to form a ball and place it on a floured towel seam side down, sprinkle with more flour.
Let it rise for 20 minutes.
After the pot is preheated take it out of the oven and carefully place your dough in it, cover with a lid and bake for 30 minutes.
Take the lid off and bake for 10-15 minutes longer to get more color into your crust.

Smother with honey or goat cheese. (or butter for those who detest anything goat. I like goats so I will take the goat cheese.)
